We’ve had a number of worried pet owners reach out after the increased reports of Cyclospora infections in people.

 

Thankfully, research shows Cyclospora cayetanensis only infects humans, meaning your veggie-loving exotics should not be at risk.

Keep washing all fresh produce before feeding it to pets or family members, and as always, call your vet if your pet develops diarrhea, decreased appetite, decreased fecal or urine output or any unusual behavior.
